we float down sunlight streetsand let our hair get stuck
on our fingertips.
weeds whisper
coaxing us to the grass;
wrapping their way through our toes.
slick pebbles weigh down your pockets.
i braid sunshine into your hair,
you're glittering.
i sew sunshine onto your skin;
ribbons that glow warm.
the hum of the wind
catches on your breath.
butterfly, butterfly.
I just want to be able to love and when you think you’ve found the person you can share that with you want nothing more than to know you’re allowed to pursue this desire you have for them and with equal feel to run in the opposite direction because it’s such a frightening thought to think anyone could possibly feel for you the way you could possibly feel for them.
That’s a lot to take on I get it but are you really going to let the real deal stand in front of you with that sad look of disappointment on her face and just let her walk away? Are you really going to let her walk out of your life because you don’t know how to let yourself feel something so great? Are you going to keep letting your fear take over and push the most loving and thoughtful person out of your currently self-centered life? Don’t. Don’t let that happen. Because if you think she’s too good now she will only be even better later and someone else will have held on. Even when that someone should have been you.
Don’t you want to be the one who gets to say “wow, I got her. She is mine.” not “wow, I lost her. I let her go.” don’t let yourself think you fucked up or made a mistake. Let yourself think I worked for that and held on to something great.
Your heart races when she’s around for a reason.
You get nervous when you think of her, see her, talk to her for a reason.
Your scared of her for a reason.
You want her…for a reason.
Stop denying that.
I’m a fool.
